Haris Kudrolli, Ph.D. Vice President of R&D at Gamma Medica Inc.

Dr. Kudrolli has been active in the field of medical imaging and instrumentation for over 20 years. In his current role, he works closely with the technical team at Gamma Medica to reduce the radiation dose associated with MBI while simultaneously improving imaging quality. He also collaborates with Molecular Breast Imaging (MBI) clinical users to publish papers related to the clinical efficacy of MBI. He is an expert in Cadmium Zinc Telluride (CZT) detectors, a novel detector technology that is currently used in MBI systems and which has number of potential applications in nuclear imaging as well as photon counting X-ray detectors. He is an author on 10 peer-reviewed papers and over 20 conference proceedings papers on Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT), and X-ray medical imaging. He has made oral presentations at a number of international scientific conferences on medical imaging. Dr. Kudrolli has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India and a doctoral degree in Physics from Boston University.
