Prerequisites:  Attending the morning CEC courses

Workshop Description:

Hands-on workshop on the diagnostic CT scanner quality assurance test procedures. These include:

  • Phantom positioning accuracy.
  • Slice width accuracy.
  • CT number accuracy and image noise.
  • Low contrast and high contrast resolution.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Attendees should be able to position the phantom so that the CT scanner’s alignment lights are accurately positioned over the scribe line corresponding to the center of the phantom modules.
  2. Attendees should be able to perform the necessary analysis and calculations of the acquired phantom images.
