IMRT/IGRT Tomotherapy Workshop

Target Audience:     Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Physicists, Dosimetrists & Radiation Therapists, interested in Tomotherapy IGRT. Knowledge in IMRT Planning and Treatment delivery will be an asset.  

Course Aim:         

The objective is for the attendees to use knowledge gained to evaluate the practicalities of Tomotherapy IGRT and the processes involved with a multi-disciplinary approach.

Workshop Description:        

  • Introduction: day to day processes, hands-on for the participants on the Tomotherapy Unit.
  • Comparative demonstration for different treatment modalities for H & N cancer patients with Tomotherapy/Rapid Arc/IMRT.
  • Processes covered: Contouring options, planning and optimization, dose evaluation, treatment on the Tomotherapy unit, plan specific DQA, downtime and maintenance.

Note: Limited number of participants will be taken for this practical workshop.
