About ICRM2012
ICRM2012 is the second international conference held under the banner of International Conference on Radiation Medicine (ICRM) organized by King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH&RC) in collaboration with its national and international partners, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), World Health Organization (WHO), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS). The first conference ICRM 2010 was successfully organized in cooperation with the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), IAEA and SFDA.
The primary aim of these conferences is to create an environment conducive to promoting basic and applied science in radiation medicine. It is the goal of the ICRM to bring together the clinicians, scientists, medical physicists and other health professionals renowned in their field to discuss and share the current clinical applications and future innovative approaches in radiation medicine.
The ICRM organizing committee is inviting you to its second conference with more than 50 international and national speakers participating. Among the highlights are:
- The scientific presentations will be given under the main scientific tracks namely; Radiation Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging, and Radiobiology &Radiation Protection.
- Among the main activities of the ICRM2012, there will be a course on the LDR and HDR Brachytherapy conducted by IAEA.
- Also in a joint-symposium on carbon ion therapy organized by KFSH&RC and NIRS, the Japanese and other international colleagues will share their own experience.
- In addition to the 7 other Continuing Education Courses, 8 workshops with hands-on sessions will be provided.
- A total of 74 poster and oral presentations in various areas will be given during the scientific sessions
- Its social program will be very rich with cultural and other activities such as desert trip and visit to the local museums.
