Jingfei Ma, PhD, DABR
Professor,
Department of Imaging Physics
University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
Texas, USA

Dr. Ma has worked in the field of MRI for 20 years. He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and has over ten years of clinical experience as a medical physicist in a major comprehensive cancer hospital in the United States. Dr. Ma’s research focus has been in the area of development and implementation of novel MRI techniques (in particular novel MRI pulse sequences and image reconstruction algorithms) and their clinical validation for cancer imaging.  Several techniques Dr. Ma developed have been adopted by industry leaders and are in routine use for improved patient imaging by thousands of customers worldwide.

Special Interest & Researches Done: Research focus has been in the area of development and implementation of novel MRI techniques (in particular novel MRI pulse sequences and image reconstruction algorithms) and their clinical validation for cancer imaging. As a clinical medical physicist, have also been heavily involved in developing and optimization patient imaging protocols, especially in body, breast, and head and neck, as well as in quality assurance of clinical MRI scanners.  Several techniques he developed in phase-sensitive MRI have been adopted by industry leaders and are in routine use by thousands of customers worldwide.
