Dr. Hassan Shaibah

Dr. Hassan Shaibah is an associate Professor of Clinical Anatomy with a research interest in pathways related to slowing down the Neurodegenerative disease process. Furthermore, Dr. Shaibah has great background medical education knowledge having a Master in Medical Education and massive experience in innovation in medical education as he leaded projects of medical school’s curriculum innovations in collaboration with Maastricht University.

Dr. Ayman Mohamed

Dr. Ayman Mohamed is a physician, an aspiring medical educator, a researcher, and a social entrepreneur. He joined Alfaisal and is currently a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Medical Education of the College of Medicine at Alfaisal University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He obtained his M.B.B.S in 2014 from the College of Medicine of Alfaisal University. In 2017, he obtained a Master in Biomedical Sciences (M.B.S) in the Cell Biology track with a specialization in the genetics of pediatric neurology. Dr. Ayman Mohamed has a special interest in learning disabilities, neurologic and psychiatric disorders, especially among children and teenagers. He has published several papers and book chapters and was a speaker at different national and international conferences. His research interests include neurogenetics, pediatric epilepsies, medical entrepreneurship, and medical education. He is an active member of several societies and was nominated and won several awards.

Dr. Raed Albar

Raed Albar is a physician, a researcher, and an educator. He graduated from the college of medicine at Alfaisal University in 2015 and is a 2020 candidate for Masters in Medical Education from the University of Dundee. He currently works as a teaching assistant at Alfaisal University and an academic mentor with the mission to help students achieve their goals by thriving and developing academic, clinical and life skills. He is a certified body language and personality trainer with a keen interest in the science of non-verbal communications, behavioral and educational psychology in the healthcare profession arena.

Being in the medical education field and after spending some time as a mentor for the students in both academic and extra-academic aspects of their lives, he developed an awareness and a passion for academic life coaching to empower medical students and supercharge their influence on themselves, peers and eventually their patients. He advanced his approach in mentoring and guiding through developing a personality-based mentorship through which medical students learn to level up their potential and impact their future healthcare professions as well as their personal goals.

Ms. Nora Al-Homidan

Nora Al-Homidan is a medical educationist at Alfaisal University, she received a double major degree in the Field of Rehabilitation-Speech and Hearing disorders from King Saud University, College of Applied Medical Sciences in 2008. Her interest in medical education began in 2016 when she finished her master’s degree in Medical Education from King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. She aspires to refine Medical Education standards in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and improve the outcomes of health professions education. Nora spends her spare time practicing meditation and reflection along with discovering experiential learning, cognitive-behavioral sciences, public health, and community-oriented initiatives.

Dr. Ahmed M. Hamed

Dr. Hamed is a Teaching Assistant at Alfaisal University, with years of experience in the field of medical education. Dr. Hamed also holds a Masters in Public Health with an interest in health related policies. He also has publications in both the clinical field and in Medical Education. He is on his way to publish suggestions in health related policies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Hamed is also a medical representative for a Liven-SA, a channel through which he is helping improve lifestyles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Safwan Urooj Abbasi

Safwan Abbasi, originally from Pakistan, is currently a senior medical student at Alfaisal University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He aims to obtain his medical degree and apply for internship and residency in the USA. His research interests include medical education, especially exploring different methods of teaching medicine. In addition to that, he is also interested in clinical and lab research, particularly in the field of neuroscience. Regardless, he possesses a true passion for research in fields including infectious diseases, urology, and health professionals. His strengths include punctuality, being a good leader, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and having excellent communication skills. When he is appointed any task, he makes sure that he meets the deadline and if required, coordinates effectively with other group members. He is involved in many clubs and committees at university and enjoys reading novels, watching television series and writing in his free time.

Haroon Ahmed Javaid

Haroon Javaid is a senior medical student enrolled at Alfaisal University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. To advance his studies and acquire in-depth training, he aims to pursue his clinical residency in the US after graduation. Currently, his research interests revolve around medical education and public health. Fascinated by the impact of statistics and machine learning on contemporary research, he wishes to integrate these with research in the field of neuroscience in the future. His current aim is to enhance his understanding of medical knowledge and clinical skills in an educational environment through participation in versatile activities which not only engages and benefits students but also the society at large. Being an active member of many societies and initiatives, he has played key roles in organizing events, volunteering at conferences and arranging workshops which have given him a well-rounded personality. He enjoys reading and playing badminton.

Abdulrhman Jamal Eldeib

Abdulrhman Eldeib, originally from Egypt, is currently a senior student at the College of Medicine at Alfaisal University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His main goals are currently finishing medical school with a vast amount of knowledge and experience that would allow him to excel while pursuing his surgical training in the US. Abdulrhman believes that education and knowledge are the strongest pillars that would allow him to have a positive impact on the specialty in the future. In addition to that, he has a great passion for medical research as he believes education and evidence-based medicine are essential for any sound healthcare system. One of his most important attributes is the ability to critically think through hard situations enabling him to simplify things, greatly improving his problem-solving skills.

Ahmed Essam Maklad

Ahmed Maklad is a senior medical student at Alfaisal University. He is heavily indulged in radiological courses and workshops offered in Alfaisal and abroad. He took multiple courses that help him achieve a better understanding of Clinical Radiology. He is the head of the Party team in MSA events. Also, the head of the Support team in MSA Q&S. He was the head of 4 events held in Alfaisal. He has been involved with MSA activities for 3 years. He’s a part of 2 different research programs in Alfaisal University and 1 research program in the KFSHRC. He values honesty and loyalty. He likes reading fiction novels and watching football.

Abdalrahman Maher Abuzubida

Abdalrahman Abuzubida, originally Palestinian, is a senior medical student at Alfaisal University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He always plans 5 years ahead and set himself goals for these upcoming 5 years. His current aims and goals are to gain all the medical knowledge a great doctor needs, to graduate his MBBS degree with honors and most importantly to graduate with a strong research basis by doing medical researches throughout his college life. Abdulrahman's ultimate goal is to become a Clinician-Scientist. Although his goals seem tough, he has many skills that will ease his way to reach his goals. He is good at managing his time and he always repeats the saying "Work smart not hard" and he believes time management is the key and it is where smartness shows. Abdalrahman is also a critical thinker, he thinks in an organized and rational manner and understands connections between ideas and/or facts. By understanding these connections, you find Abdalrahman easily solve any problem he or his colleagues face. Abdalrahman is more extroverted and in his free time, he engages much with his peers, which added more to his communication skills and ability to deal with people. He also makes some free time for swimming, horse riding and relaxing time with his usual cup of tea and a novel to read. He is a well-rounded individual who lives with passion, dedication, and grace.

Muhammad Affan Elahi

Muhammad Affan Elahi is a diligent senior medical student at Alfaisal University pursuing medicine due to his passion for the scientific art of medicine. He is interested in several different research fields, with medical education being a choice he enjoys. He believes in the integration of clinical sciences and basic sciences by virtue of implementing significant medical education research findings in the curriculum. He also has a special interest in medical terminology and etymology which complements his taste for literature and languages, particularly English. He is also known for his skills in teaching medical concepts for he reinforces concepts in a stepwise manner to ensure an in-depth understanding. He has on many occasions taught review sessions for his peers with great success and admiration owing to his unique pedagogical ingenuity. His hobbies include traveling, writing, and teaching peers. He is a tea and chocolate connoisseur which is augmented by his attention to detail and perseverance for perfection.
