Dr. Thiessen is a board certified radiologist ,who has practiced for the past 40 years,first 10 years in family practice,30 years in radiology with the last 10 years as a breast specialist. He has seen breast imaging grow and change from xeromammography,to film screen mammo,to digital and on to tomosynthesis. He has been fortunate to have experienced the growth in other modalities to improve the diagnosis of breast cancer such as ultrasound, ABUS, MRI, contrast mammography and molecular imaging BSGI. He has also been able to see the rapid advancement with biopsy systems in all modalities. He has a true passion for breast imaging and the advances to improve diagnoses and outcomes in morbidity and mortality from breast cancer. He has lectured all over the world on breast related disease, with great interest and enthusiasm within different countries, and look forward to sharing some of my experience and expertise
