Dr. Balter received his M.S. and Ph.D. Degress from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Center in 1995 and 2003 respectively. In between the M.S. and the Ph.D. he worked at the M.D. Anderson Scondary Standards Laboratory and the Radiological Physics Center. Since Completing his Ph.D. he has been working at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in the Radiation Oncology Clinic concentrating on Radiation Therapy in the Thoracic Region including 4DCT, gating, IMRT, IGRT and SBRT. He has also worked on developments in Infrastucture and Quality Assurance including development on in-house software systems and use and optimizatin of commercial systems. He currently Holds titles as Group leader for Thoracic Physics, Group leader for Infrastructure, and Physics Center Director for the Main Center Clinic.
