Dr. Richard M. Gore is a Professor of Radiology at the University of Chicago, and Director of Gastrointestinal Radiology at North Shore University Health System.
Over the last 30 years his research and clinical interests have focused on: inflammatory bowel disease; the acute abdomen; diagnosis, staging, and follow up of patients with abdominal malignancies; vascular disorders of the liver; and incidental lesions found on cross-sectional imaging in both the general and oncology population.
He has 298 publications and 721 scientific presentations of which 199 have been international. He has served as Visiting Professor at 49 institutions both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Gore is past President of the Society of Gastrointestinal Radiologists and a fellow of: AMERICAN COLLEGE OF RADIOLOGY, INTERNATIONAL CANCER IMAGING SOCIETY, SOCIETY OF ABDOMINAL RADIOLOGISTS, EUROPEAN SOCIETY OF GASTROINTESTINAL AND ABDOMINAL RADIOLOGISTS, ROYAL SOCIETY OF MEDICINE, AMERICAN COLLEGE OF GASTROENTEROLOGY, AMERICAN GASTROENTEROLOGY SOCIETY, SOCIETY OF COMPUTED BODY TOMOGRAPHY/ MR, AMERICAN COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS.
Dr. Gore has published several textbooks including Textbook of Gastrointestinal Radiology which is in its 4th edition (2015). He has also recently edited Radiologic Clinics of North America on the Acute Abdomen (November 2015). He has served as President of the Society of Gastrointestinal Radiologists 2009-2010
