DIW9: Incidental lung nodules: What to do with them?

Workshop Description:

Incidental lung nodules are increasingly recognized on Computed Tomography (CT) of the chest. The majority of these nodules are indolent, however few represent premalignant or malignant disease.

We will demonstrate various types of lung nodules on CT. Review their imaging features and criteria of benign ones. We will then summarize the most recent guidelines for follow up and work up when necessary.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of difference between various types of incidental lung nodules
  2. To be able to apply guidelines on work up of solid and subsolid incidental  lung nodules using case approach
