Workshop Description:
The practical show-and-tell part consists of the following:
Samples collection, medical ethics and cell culture techniques
XRAD-320 biological irradiator
Cell survival curves
DNA damage and repair
Determination of radiosensitivity and bio-mathematical models
Molecular biology techniques in radiobiology
Genetic predisposition to radiation damage
Learning Objectives:
Familiarize attendees with practical demonstrations of biological effects of ionizing radiation and their potential health hazards along with the recent developments in radiobiology.
